APPEAL FOR FUND
The leadership of Oshiuman Church of Christ is appealing to all the Churches of Christ and benevolent-hearted brethren to come to our aid as we struggle to raise funds to acquire a piece of land which has become necessary for us to purchase else we risk facing major challenges in future as a church.
The Church is located in the Amasaman Municipality in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, and it is one of the fast growing congregations in the region. Oshiuman is a peri-urban community with a fast growing population. Since its established six years ago, the Oshiuman Church of Christ has grown from an initial membership of about six members to about 120 including children.
Despite our small membership, the church has managed to put up a place of worship on a small piece of land which shares walls between a house and a walled- two plots of land with an uncompleted building.
We recently heard about the sale of the two-plots of land and we approached the owner and expressed our interest to buy it. He has agreed to sell the land to us at a cost of Two Hundred and Forty Thousand Cedis ( GHC 240.000,00) approximately USD 16,000.
Already a company has expressed interest in buying the land for a factory but the owner has decided to give us the first chance. If we fail to buy the land and the company buys it for a factory it will pose a serious challenge to the church in future. Besides, if we fail to purchase the land it will be extremely difficult for us to find a land to buy in the community for future expansion of the church.
The land owner has given us one month to pay the money in full else he will sell it to the company.
It is for this reason that we are passionately appealing to all the Churches of Christ and individual brethren in Ghana and abroad to come to our aid. We are trusting our Lord Jesus Christ to touch many hearts to do donate cheerfully to support this worthy cause.
